My chiropractor was giving me a full workup with muscle testing last week, due to the fact that I'm just not feeling up to snuff, and I need to do something about it. I complained that, even though I'm faithfully doing the things I was told to do to feel great, I still don't. He asked me if I had any scars. I blushed. Are you kidding? I have a gigantic scar on my abdomen due to the exploratory surgery that was performed on me nearly 20 years ago. I showed it to him, and he said, "Oh.... ok, now I know where to go with this. He did a lot more tests and said I need to heal my scar. That is what other practitioners have said to me when they saw my scar, but I never took them seriously. I thought it was a more cosmetic concern. But, in a nutshell, my chiro said I would not ever get completely well as long as my scar was unhealed. So, I'm going to work rubbing sesame oil into my 5 inch long, half-inch wide scar several times a day. I will also get some laser therapy on it. He said it will take a long time. Maybe a year. But, once that scar is healed, he predicts that I will feel a whole lot better. In the meantime, I will be taking adrenal supplements to help my very tired adrenals get strong again. He says he believes my thyroid symptoms will disappear when my adrenals are healed. I don't know about that, but I trust him, so I'm going with it.
In the meantime, I joined the gym (thanks, Steve!) and will have a personal trainer starting tomorrow. I have lost 25 pounds, without intending to, in less than two years, and a lot of that was muscle. So, I'm starting on a muscle-building program to build myself back up. I've always been strong, with plenty of muscles. In fact, my problems have often been too many tight muscles. We'll see how this goes. I've never liked weights, but I'm motivated, so I'll give them my serious attention and see how I do.

I would be interested to know the correlation between your scar and your body healing. I don't get that. Did he give you any links to read about it? I'm not so much doubting it as I am interested in learning about it.

I've been told many times that I also have very tight muscles. Keep us posted please on your gym experience. I'm curious about what your trainer will have you do.
