Here's another picture of Ollie helping in the kitchen. He wanted to run the food processer, but it was so loud that he cried every time he pushed the button. Maya solved the problem by putting headphones on him. He was a happy camper after that.

He also wears these whenever they go out to hear music. He's very sensitive to loud sounds, so he willingly wears them. Glad his parents are protecting his little ears. Sadly, most people don't think to do this, and their children have ear damage. Rule of thumb: If music is too loud for you, it's definitely too loud for your child. Your ears are probably already damaged, so you can take more volume. I think about this kind of thing because we have been to so many music festivals and concerts over the years where children are present and are clearly not being considered.

It's funny to me how you say he is sensitive to sound, but likes to make lots of sound himself. :) But I'm sure if appliances sound loud to us, they must REALLY sound loud to a toddler!
I need to get myself some headphones for the kitchen rather than messing with the ear plugs.

Those a children's headphones to block out sounds. Google it and I'm sure you can get some for adults.
