08:11 am - When Will They Ever Learn?

All in all, I find the Old Testament to be a disappointing read. Here's what I get from it in a nutshell:
God made the world, and then he made humans.
God gave the humans rules to live by.
The humans followed the rules for a while.
But, then they'd forget, and break them.
God would be angry and punish them.
The humans would be sorry and begin following the rules again.
But, then they would forget and break the rules.
This happened over and over and over and over and over and over again.
They never learned.

That's the bad news.

The New Testament then offers the good news. (Boy, did they need it.)

Enter Jesus!

Happy Palm Sunday, and welcome to the way to salvation! (The Christian way to, once and for all, get it right with God)

Thank GOODNESS this story has a happy ending. I was getting worried.

History sure does repeat itself. I heard just yesterday a quote I fell in love with but I don't know who is the author of it:
"Those who do not remember the past, are doomed to repeat it."

Yes, I've heard that too. Too bad the Old Testament folks didn't know that one!
