Down Time - Livin' the Good Life

09:28 am - Down Time
Contracting a cold yesterday forced me to stop and rest. I spent the day lying in bed while everyone capably fended for themselves. I was also treated to a variety of favorite cold remedies. Gabe made me his "tried and true for what ails ya" smoothy made with frozen blueberries and a lemon. It did seem to help. Maya made me delicious chicken soup. But mainly I rested. Steve lead the New Years Eve family celebration of music and visiting while I listened with interest from my bed in the other room. What an intelligent, articulate, loving, caring bunch of people I've got in my family! And their girlfriends are the greatest! Wonderful additions to our family.
I can't remember the last time I had a cold. Louise Hay says colds are brought on by a feeling of being overwhelmed. It IS pretty intense to have company for two weeks, even when you adore them and everyone gets along well as our family does. Plus, a couple of family members brought colds with them, so I guess I was set up for a forced rest. It's all good.
My next post will recap the holiday, and I may even be able to get a video up!
