The moment that Fairy Day was packed away and I began to catch my breath, I started planning my next "event". And it's tomorrow! Mother's Day. Here's the flyer I sent out to all my moms and many other families. (Sorry for the awkwardness of this large picture. I'm still trying to figure out how to do these things.)

Here's my thrift store find for the event. Finding something white was a challenge! I love it!

These are waiting for the chocolate-dipped strawberries I'm planning on making tomorrow morning before the picnic! "Strawberry, M'Lady?"

And these tablecloths are waiting to pretty-up the picnic tables at the park

Here is a craft project for the children. Bean bag streamers (filled with bird seed) to throw. And, man, do they fly!!

Another craft project: Make a tissue paper butterfly on a string. Watch them flutter behind you as you run!

This is the first time I've done an event like this away from my home. I'm looking forward to it with excitement... and a little nervousness!

I don't know how you came up with the idea of everyone wearing white, but how sweet that will look! It will be interesting to see all the yummy food they come up with. I'll be waiting for pictures, of if I'm really lucky, a video!

This is a belated "May Day" event. It is traditional to wear white on May Day. You know, girls dressed in white dresses dancing around a Maypole. I went to a May Day event last week, and it WAS really beautiful seeing so many people dressed in white and wearing flower garlands. They had a bluegrass band playing the entire time, and there was lots of dancing!!
I hope someone will take pictures. It won't be me. But, I will bring the camera, and hope someone else is on the ball.
