Something New Next Door - Livin' the Good Life

Here is the birth place of the office about to be built next to Damian and Maya's house on the morning it all began.
The playpen is sitting in the center of the office-to-be.
Two days later the frame was up
Next day, up went the walls
Next day, the roof
The picture below shows how it looks today. We are waiting for the windows to arrive before they can proceed.
(It was entertaining to watch the guys climbing all over this structure like acrobats. They are both serious rock climbers, and they appeared to be having fun scaling rock walls and hanging precariusly from precipices while wielding hammerguns and saws. Quite a show!)
Notice the placement of the windows. It's the middle of February, and the sunlight will stream in those windows during the day, keeping it nice and toasty. No supplemental heat necessary! By summer, the sun will have shifted back over the top of the building so that no sun will enter those front south-facing windows, keeping the inside much cooler. The east window will need a curtain to keep out the morning sun (heat), and a swamp cooler will go on the west wall to blow across the room and out that east window. We've learned a thing or two over the years about being comfortable in the desert!
