I'm speeding up the GAPS introduction diet a bit. I'm on week three of a four week meal plan. I found that I was getting signs of ketosis (dizzy, nauseous, klutzy) and was losing too much weight really fast. At the end of last week, I started eating a few dates when I experienced those symptoms and immediately felt better. This means to me that I simply need more carbs than this diet allows. I'm not willing to be that uncomfortable. I'm still basically ON the diet, but I'm messing with it a little bit. I have to listen to my body!
I'm feeling better (more energy) every day, and that's what I've been looking for. When it seems like I'm running on only 2 cylinders, I don't consider myself well yet, even if my other symptoms have improved. I won't settle for anything less than the ability to go full-throttle!
