One year ago last Thursday, I went under the knife. It was a horrific experience, but had to be done. I survived. With the help of the surgeon, and afterwards my chiropractor, and my loving, attentive family, I survived. I never want to go through that again. My efforts to lessen that possibility have been monumental and constant. I have not given up trying to improve my health for this entire year. Day in day out trying things to help me feel better, function better, and improve on all levels. I've learned a lot of healing techniques and healing nutrition. I've paid close attention to my body, and I feel I know it better than I ever did. At this time, just for the record, I am doing the following:

Weekly chiropractic
Weekly massage
An hour and a half of Egoscue exercises every day
An hour of barefoot walking daily. I've ditched my heeled shoes for the rest of the time
I drink a glass of freshly-made vegetable juice every morning, first thing
I do a half hour of deep-tissue "ball massage" on my core before my first meal  (Roll Model technique)
I take slippery elm and DGL (a form of licorice) for acid reflux (the juice is for that also)
Vit B12 daily
Digestive enzymes with meals, focusing on HCL, bitters, and Sporebiotics
Multivitamins and minerals
Spirilina smooties
Mostly gluten-free and grain-free
All organic diet
Had to give up chocolate for the reflux (that was tough!)
Gym several times a week

There's probably more I'm not remembering.... but that's a lot. It's time consuming. And other than not having full energy back, I'm doing well. Each day is different, so I can never say absolutely that I'm well. But, definitely much better and feeling encouraged. More later......

I knew about some of these you've been dong but that's quite the list! So what all do you put in your freshly made vegetable juice? Just what you have on hand at the time? What is your liquid base for that?

Usually straight carrot, beet, celery, ginger root, and lemon. Sometimes I throw in greens or cucumber. Whatever I have.
