Ah, it's good to be back! After a few days of flu, and then a few more days of getting my enthusiasm back, I tried to post and my computer wouldn't let me. I wrestled with it for a day or two and gave up in disgust. (It's a long story.) Anyway, Maya came to the rescue and solved the problem for me, so now I'm back on board. Thanks, Maya!
When I was a little girl, I used to give my dad Saturday morning "Hair Club". I think that's what he started calling it, so we always called it that. Anyway, I would wash his hair and put it in pin curlers, and he'd have to wear it around like that until it dried. Then, I'd take the curlers out and fluff out his head of very-curly-hair. He was such a good sport about it. (I think he liked the attention.) He even wore his curlers to the hardware store once because his hair wasn't dry yet. Now, for the 1950s THAT was indulgence in your little girl! Well, we still have hair club today. I wash and blow dry his hair every so often when he is going to make an appearance in town and he's trying to "dress up" a bit. He still likes it. Only now he has the most beautiful silvery-white hair that shines and puffs out all by itself. No curlers necessary!
